Trees for Isobel Thompson

Isobel and Tommy Thompson have been the heart and soul of Whitevale for a very long time.  To commemorate Isobel’s life and dedication, the Whitevale and District Residents’ Association (WDRA) has decided to honour her memory with a bench and three large trees in the Whitevale Park.

Anyone who wants to take part in this project is more than welcome.  We are looking for both labour and financial donations to cover both the immediate and ongoing costs; please see the attached letter for more details.

Whitevale Heritage Pride Program – House Plaque

Whitevale Heritage Pride Program – House Plaque

This is an excellent opportunity to increase our sense of community and identify the rich heritage built by those who founded and developed Whitevale.

Each plaque will state the date or approximate date of construction, the original owner and occupation or subsequent notable owner. Buildings that were built before 1900 are eligible. Buildings built after 1900 may be considered on receipt of written description of the exceptional heritage characteristics with an application.

Please take some time to review the information presented in the following files and take part in the Heritage Pride Program.
